Hi, the song you are looking for is called "Good old Somerset" which can be found on The Wurzels Golden Delicious LP. Several copies for sale on e-bay. Released in 1977 on the EMI label record number NTS 122.

Yes - those is the first two lines of the chorus of "Good old Somerset" written by Pete Budd, Tommy Banner and Dougie Wright, the band's sessions drummer (the only Wurzels songwriting credit he earnt!)
But you don't be needing to buy some old vinyl coz that song has also been released on CD.
The original recording (Budd-Banner-Baylis) was on Golden Delicious (1977), and the compilation The Wurzels (1981), which was also released on CD (1988 - very rare now!). in 2004 The Wurzels (Budd-Banner-Morgan-Howe) then re-recorded it for their A Taste of the West CD, and it also appeared on The Wurzels Greatest Hits CD (2007) which is easily available at a good price on eBay. Personally, I prefer the older version, but the newer version has its merits.

Sorry Frank got to disagree with you on this one, the original is always best and you can't beat good old vinyl not these faceless CD things! We have only just got used to electric light and carpets in Stogursey mate!

stogursey, old chap - if you are going to disagree, at least take a contrary view. If I say "I prefer the older version" - you can't disagree by saying that you prefer the older version too! As for the 'vinyl is better than CD' argument - it is a bit of a moot point when 'pevrick' was asking for a copy of the track on CD or Download. Not sure CDs are faceless - they are like little tiny handisized vinyl LPs only they don't warp or scratch. 'Faceless'? Now Downloads - THEY are faceless! Can't be having with buying something that doesn't exist beyond an icon on a computer.
